Prof. Schenk was invited for a guest lecture at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB). His host was Prof. Jianhua Liu from the School of Materials and Metallurgy of USTB. In the last ten years a good cooperation between his research group in USTB and the Chair of Ferrous Metallurgy of Montanuniversitaet Leoben has been established. This comprises frequent visits of the partners in China and Austria, invitation for guest lectures and research stays of guest researches. Prof. Schenk held this time a three day lecture to the topic “Applied methods of converter steelmaking” for postgraduate and PhD students of the School of Materials and Metallurgy.
