During August a highly motivated student, Anesa, from a local high school got the chance to get to know the Chair of Ferrous Metallurgy within an internship, thankfully paid by the FFG. It was her first getting in touch with the world of iron and steel research. Over a period of four weeks, she was involved in different projects, including metallography, electrolytic extraction methods and simulation tasks – how different and exciting the world of metallurgy can be. We wish Anesa the very best for her future and are looking forward to welcoming her again in a few years as a student.
