GUEST at USTB and Anhui University of Technology in Ma´anchan, China

Christian Brernhard returned from a trip to China, involving guest lectures at USTB and Anhui University of Technology in Ma´anchan on “Aspects of the transformation of steel production in Europe towards “Green steel”: How tramp elements can affect the casting and rolling process” and “Hybrid modelling of ladle treatment: How data driven approaches and thermo-dynamic modelling may complement each other in steel cleanness prediction.” Visits to Nanjing Iron and Steel (NISCO) and LY Smart in Laodi gave the opportunity for fruitful technical exchange meetings on “Smart quality prediction in the continuous casting of advanced steel grades: Status and perspectives.”.
