Doctoral scholarship “Metal recycling and climate protection”.

TSR Recycling is active in all areas of metal recycling throughout Europe at around 150 locations with over 3,800 employees. TSR is a central link in the raw materials cycle between scrap producers and recyclers as well as a supplier of high-quality recycling raw materials. The INZIN Institute is a non-profit think tank that scientifically supports and promotes the necessary structural change from today’s industrial society to a sustainable industrial society. The PhD student will cooperate with TSR at the locations Dortmund and Lünen. Within the framework of the doctorate, technological perspectives for the entire value chains are to be developed for the field of action metal recycling and climate protection. The doctorate will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Martin Faulstich from the Chair of Resource and Energy Systems at the TU Dortmund. (www.res.tu-dortmund.de)

Your qualification:

  • Completed scientific university studies in metallurgy, materials science, materials engineering or similar qualification (master, diploma).
  • Knowledge in metal recycling, raw material management and life cycle assessment
  • Initiative, creativity, strong communication skills
