It was a pleasure to welcome Bryan Webler, Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Carnegie Mellon University and Co-Director of the Center for Iron and Steelmaking Research in Pittsburgh, USA at our university.
He gave an interesting talk about steel-slag thermodynamics and its consequences for non-metallic inclusions. Within a research seminar with colleagues from the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Inclusion Metallurgy in Advanced Steelmaking diverse current research topics were discussed. Also our students took the opportunity for intense discussions with Prof. Webler.

Thank you very much for your visit and the vivid scientific exchange!
