This week the opening of the exhibition “Rohstoffe sind Zukunft” (raw materials are the future) took place in the Kulturzentrum in Kapfenberg. The exhibition had a lot of success in Leoben in the years before and now it is held in Kapfenberg as well.
The idea of the exhibition is to give the visitors some insight into the world of raw materials and to give everybody an idea of how many different raw materials there are and how many are used for products we do not even think about in our day-to-day life. The exhibition was designed together with the Montanuniversität Leoben. The Department of Metallurgy supports the team of the exhibition, so the visitors now can see a digital steel plant as well as the “Weeman” from the institute for non-ferrous metallurgy. The visitors also have the chance to see a Laptop and a Smartphone and all its components and the different used raw materials.
The exhibition is open until the 17thof march, for more information please visit: https://www.kapfenberg.gv.at/Ausstellung_Rohstoffe_sind_Zukunft_
